Breaking: Trump’s Silence Finally Broken!

With the lifting of his gag order by a New York appeals court, former President Donald Trump is once again free to speak out. Trump had previously been muted by Judge Arthur F. Engoron, who was presiding over his bank fraud trial, but that limitation has now been lifted.

According to the AP, Judge David Friedman of the first department of the appeal division issued a historic decision today. Citing constitutional principles and the critical need of free expression, especially in connection to former President Donald Trump, he immediately and firmly revoked the gag order.

A court order has been granted to prevent Trump from mentioning any member of Judge Engoron’s staff in an effort to preserve the fairness of the trial. The decision follows Trump’s remarks to the media and on social media, which raised questions about the impartiality of the trial because of Alison Greenfield, Engoron’s primary legal clerk,’s purported political connections.

Accusing the legal clerk of Democratic Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer of having connections to Engoron, Trump openly insulted the individual. The trial, he denounced as a prejudiced “witch hunt.” Engoron responded by highlighting Trump’s article on Truth Social, in which he disparaged Greenfield and included a picture of her with Schumer.

In a since-deleted post, Trump said, “Schumer’s girlfriend, Alison R. Greenfield, is running this case against me. How disgraceful! This case should be dismissed immediately.” The gag orders have been used by Trump’s legal team and supporters as proof of a politically driven trial, highlighting what they see as a persistent pattern of prejudice against the former President.

“You saw what was just put out about Schumer and the principal clerk. That is disgraceful,” Trump stated to the media that the trial was “fraudulent” and “rigged.” Trump may now talk freely after the gag order was lifted, a freedom that his supporters contend should never have been restricted.

Trump is fined $15,000 by Judge Engoron for violating the gag order with his divisive remarks. Remarks were made, according to Trump’s legal team, about Michael Cohen, not the judge’s law clerk.

Amidst court challenges, Trump removed his gag order. The former president retaliates against claims of electoral meddling, only weeks after being silenced in a different instance.

Trump’s legal battles are criticized by critics who allege political prejudice. They cast doubt on the justice system’s impartiality by highlighting the Democratic affiliations of judges like Engoron.

ALERT! Major Water Restrictions In Effect!

Together, eighteen Republican state attorneys general have pledged their support for Trump’s appeal against Judge Tanya Chutkan’s gag order.

They argued, “As administrators of free and fair elections, we have an interest in ensuring no illegal prior restraint is entered against any major political candidate. Indeed, our citizens have an interest in hearing from major political candidates in that election. The Order threatens the States’ interests by infringing on President Trump’s free speech rights.”
