It is possible to characterize the exclusion of President Trump from the Maine presidential ballot as a flagrant miscarriage of justice.
Unexpectedly, CNN revealed that left-leaning Secretary of State Sheena Bellows made a choice that rocked the political establishment. After interpreting the 14th Amendment, she came to the conclusion that Trump would not be permitted to run in the next elections because of his involvement in the “insurrection.”

“I do not reach this conclusion lightly,” Bellows wrote. “Democracy is sacred. I am mindful that no Secretary of State has ever deprived a presidential candidate of ballot access based on Section Three of the Fourteenth Amendment. I am also mindful, however, that no presidential candidate has ever before engaged in insurrection.”
According to reports, Bellow’s decision has been postponed until the Supreme Court makes its ruling.
This month, Maine becomes the second state to depose the 45th President. Based on the same faulty “logic” employed by Bellows, Maine has rendered a decision akin to Colorado’s last week, which many considered heinous.
