Donald Trump has never been one to back down from speaking his mind, especially when it comes to political attacks disguised as public addresses. A recent prayer service at the National Cathedral, led by Bishop Mariann Budde, turned into a thinly veiled rant against the former President and conservative values. Now, Trump is demanding accountability for what he called a blatant misuse of a sacred platform.

During the event, which was meant to offer unity and prayer, Budde instead took the opportunity to lecture Trump and Senator J.D. Vance on hot-button social issues, including transgender rights and illegal immigration.

“Let me make one final plea, Mr. President,” Budde said. “Millions have put their trust in you and, as you told the nation yesterday, you have felt the providential hand of a loving God. In the name of our God, I ask you to have mercy upon the people in our country who are scared now. There are gay, lesbian and transgender children in Democratic, Republican, and Independent families, some who fear for their lives.”
