BREAKING: This CIA Scandal Just Keeps Getting Worse

The Select Subcommittee on the Weaponization of the Federal Government is set to release a report on Wednesday that will detail how the CIA collaborated with acting director Mike Morrell to collect signatures for a letter stating that emails found on Hunter Biden’s laptop were false information from Russia. Several former U.S. intelligence personnel who testified under oath verified that the letter, which was signed by more than 50 former intelligence officials, was circulated with the help of the CIA. Watch this space for additional information on this fascinating report.

“One signer of the statement, former CIA analyst David Cariens, disclosed to the Committees that a CIA employee affiliated with the agency’s Prepublication Classification Review Board (‘PCRB’) informed him of the existence of the statement and asked if he would sign it,” According to the House investigation report. “The Committees have requested additional material from the CIA, which has ignored the request to date.”

Former U.S. intelligence officials’ published documents must be reviewed by the PCRB to see whether any classified information has to be redacted before publication.

A CIA agent assigned to examine a book Cariens was releasing informed him about the Hunter Biden letter and asked him if he wanted to sign it, according to an email from Cariens dated March 5, 2023. “When the person in charge of reviewing the book called to say it was approved with no changes, I was told about the draft letter,” Cariens wrote. “The person asked me if I would be willing to sign.”

After discussing it with one other, the two ex-CIA agents enthusiastically signed the letter. The second signer, Janice Cariens, who is both a former CIA agent and the first signer’s husband, concurred.

Acting director Mike Morrell delivered the letter to the PCRB for the first time on October 19, 2020. Morell told the PCRB that “[t]his is a rush job, as it needs to get out as soon as possible,” according to a story in the New York Post.

Morrell told former CIA director and fellow signatory John Brennan that he wanted the letter released before Biden’s October 22, 2020 debate with then-President Donald Trump. Trying to give the campaign, particularly during the debate . . .a talking point to push back on Trump,” Morrell said.

Morrell was given the task of writing a letter on the Hunter Biden laptop problem by former Biden campaign aide Blinken. When the U.S. Secretary of State phoned Morrell on October 17, 2020 to address the matter, he was assured that Morrell was not aware of it. Then Blinken emailed a USA Today item that said Russian misinformation was being used, and the FBI was looking into it.
