Tech billionaire Elon Musk stunned presenter Andrew Ross Sorkin on NBC by responding succinctly but bluntly to a left-wing advertising boycott directed on X, the social network that was once known as Twitter. Musk added, “Go f**k yourself,” and said that Disney and other unhappy businesses could quit running advertisements on X.
Sorkin questioned Musk over his most recent visit to Israel, when he met Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and visited the locations of the October 7 assaults. “Now obviously you know that there’s a public perception that, and you’re clarifying this now, but there’s a public perception that that was part of a apology tour, if you will. That this had been said online, there was all of the criticism, there was advertisers leaving,” Sorkin said.

Sorkin named Bob Iger, the CEO of Disney, as one of the business leaders that backs the boycott. Just as he was ready to pose a question about advertisements, Musk stepped in with a sincere, “I hope they stop.”
“Don’t advertise,” Musk stated.
“You don’t want them to advertise?” Sorkin probed more, and Musk promptly reiterated his stance.
“If somebody’s gonna try to blackmail me with advertising, blackmail me with money, go f**k yourself,” Musk exclaimed, clearly startled Sorkin. The presenter spoke for a little while more until Musk repeated his earlier comment to “go f**k yourself.”
