A June 12, 2018, picture was just discovered on the laptop. It shows the driver of a car in Arlington, Virginia, speeding at 35 mph while carrying a burnt-out crack pipe.

Senators Chuck Grassley and Ron Johnson of the Republican Party are questioning the motives behind an FBI briefing on Hunter Biden’s laptop scheduled for 2020. They now doubt the assertion that disclosing details on the laptop helped Russian disinformation, in light of recent developments. These senators are committed to finding the truth in this situation.
“The more we learn about what the FBI was up to in the summer of 2020, the more questions we have about what was done with information related to the Hunter Biden investigation,” Grassley said.
A briefing was held “clear effort to discredit our oversight,” he said.
“Was there a broader effort by federal law enforcement to improperly silence or sideline anything critical of the Biden family in the run-up to the 2020 election?”
“The timeline that is emerging does not paint a picture of an apolitical FBI, and the bureau has a duty to explain itself, which it has so far failed to do.”

Johnson emphasizes the hindrance to the investigation of the claims against the Biden family by highlighting the connections between the effects of foreign policy and the family’s economic network.
“As troubling as Biden family corruption is — and the extent to which it comprises American foreign policy — there is a much larger story of corruption to be uncovered,” he said.
“The complicity of federal law enforcement and the unequal application of justice is a true threat to our democracy.”
“Because the partisan corruption spans Democrat and Republican administrations, one has to wonder, ‘How is it being orchestrated and sustained?’” he said.
IRS whistleblower Gary Shapley disclosed in his deposition record that the FBI had informed the IRS of possible tax criminal evidence on the laptop as early as December 2019. It’s exciting to note that Hunter Biden recently obtained a plea agreement that includes probation in exchange for his admission of tax evasion.
“The FBI verified its authenticity in November of 2019 by matching the device number against Hunter Biden’s Apple iCloud ID,” Shapley said.
The chronology for the laptop’s validation comes many months before the erroneous allegations of Russian misinformation regarding its contents.
