In a harsh critique of the Biden administration, former DHS Acting Secretary Chad Wolf accuses President Joe Biden and current Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas of “deliberately” escalating the crisis at the southern border of the United States.
Wolf stated, “By any objective measure or metric, the U.S. is facing the worst humanitarian and national security crisis along our southern border in our nation’s history.”

Wolf claims that the present border security system is “unrecognizable” from Trump administration measures or even those of prior administrations. “This is the first administration of either political party to deliberately take steps to diminish the security along our southern border.”
“This country has experienced the largest mass-scale catch-and-release policy that has resulted in more than 4.5 million illegal aliens, including 1.5 million known gotaways, being allowed into American communities. That is a population larger than every major U.S. city except for New York City,” Wolf continued.
Wolf draws attention to the growing number of known or suspected terrorists who have been apprehended at the border, which suggests a major rise during the present government. He also expressed concern over the Mexican cartels’ control of the border and the increasing volumes of fentanyl entering the nation, which is purportedly the main cause of death for American teenagers.

Wolf served as Acting Secretary of Homeland Security under the Trump administration from November 2019 to January 2021. In the past, he held a number of positions in the Department of Homeland Security (DHS), including Under Secretary for Strategy and Policy.
As of June 2023, the U.S. border problem is still a serious issue that has to be addressed. An increase in irregular border crossings by migrants as a result of this complicated scenario has put a burden on immigration enforcement resources and raised public fear. Due to the complexity of the factors causing this catastrophe, a thorough response is urgently required.

The Biden administration is sticking with its management strategy for the continuing border issue despite criticism. Progress has been achieved, according to the Department of Homeland Security, since May 12th, when the CDC’s Title 42 public health order was revoked and the administration’s comprehensive border management strategy went into force. The government is devoted to finding a solution to the problem and is confident in the efficacy of their strategy.
