According to recent reports, the northern border is more appealing to illegal border crossers since there are less security staff and border patrol officials there.

Despite being just as important as the southern border problem, this subject is significantly less covered by the media.

Through the northern border, illegal immigrants are pouring into the United States.
According to a New York Post story, there has been an increase in illegal border crossings at the U.S.-Canada border in New Hampshire, Vermont, and New York as migrants take advantage of “understaffing” and other circumstances.
Over 12,200 migrants were reportedly caught last year trying to enter the country illegally from Canada. There were 3,578 arrests the year before.

According to the data, the 295-mile Swanton Sector, which encompasses upstate New York, New Hampshire, and Vermont, accounted for about 70% of the unlawful crossings.
According to experts, individuals who manage to reach Mexico and can afford to go from Mexico City or Cancun to Montreal or Toronto via plane are heading south to enter the northern border of the United States, where they are less likely to be denied entry than those who cross the southern border. The ticket costs $350 one way.
While the CBP concentrates on the spike in migration at the southern border, the US border with Canada is far longer than the border with Mexico, and the ports of entry are frequently understaffed.
