The U.S. Border Patrol could face a mass resignation wave if Vice President Kamala Harris secures the presidency, according to agents who are voicing their frustrations. In interviews with several Border Patrol agents, it has become clear that they are fed up with what they describe as being “undermined and scapegoated” by the current administration. If Harris wins in November, some agents are ready to call it quits, saying they’ve endured enough under her tenure as vice president and “border czar.”
“I’m not doing this s–t again … four years of hell,” one anonymous agent told the New York Post, echoing the growing frustrations within the ranks. Another added, “Lots of guys who can retire will go. If Trump wins, they’ll stay.”

Amidst this growing discontent, the National Border Patrol Council, which represents the interests of thousands of Border Patrol agents, officially endorsed former President Donald Trump, offering their support for his bid to return to the White House. Their decision is based on Trump’s promise to strengthen border security and address the issues that many agents believe have worsened under the Biden-Harris administration.
