In a series of posts and statements, Bongino has questioned the effectiveness of the United States Secret Service, pointing to multiple assassination attempts and suggesting potential internal vulnerabilities within the agency.
Bongino, known for his vocal criticism of federal agencies, took to Facebook to express his frustration and concerns following two attempted attacks on Trump since July 13. In a lengthy post, Bongino shared insights from his time as a young Secret Service agent assigned to the “press detail.” This role involved accompanying members of the press during presidential trips, giving Bongino firsthand exposure to the behavior and mindset of many media professionals. He didn’t hold back in describing his negative observations, stating, “Most of them are genuine imbeciles. Their conversations ranged from absurd to ignorant, to downright ridiculous.”
