Bombshell: US Treasury Protects Biden Family

The United States Treasury has sent a strong message to Republicans by vehemently rejecting their requests for access to Hunter Biden’s financial records. In doing so, they have established a precedent in this area that has never been seen before.

The agency made a significant move toward conducting an in-depth investigation into the reasons why Republicans have been demanding information regarding Hunter Biden. The fact that he has been the target of such criticism is not without importance.

On Wednesday, the United States Department of the Treasury responded negatively to a request by Republican members of the House of Representatives to provide financial information on Hunter Biden and other members of President Joe Biden’s family. This rejection occurred at a particularly tense time in American politics, when legislators were eager to investigate any potentially improper foreign payments made to persons who are close to the current president.

The reported struggles that Hunter Biden has had with drug misuse have led to inquiries being asked about his connections to both Ukraine and China. The role of the President’s son in what may be considered unethical financial deals has been called into question by Republicans, igniting a political fight unlike any that has ever been witnessed before.

Evidence such as shared credit cards or bank accounts has been used by Republicans in support of their contention that Joe and Hunter Biden have a financial link. An interim report that was published in November revealed that the Treasury Department may be in possession of 150 Suspicious Activity Reports (SARs) relating to family members of Joe and Jill Biden. This finding suggests that the potential interconnection may be more substantial than was initially believed.

Jonathan Davidson, the chief of legislative affairs at the Treasury Department, wrote a letter to James Comer, the chairman of the House Oversight and Accountability Committee, asking for further explanation on why such “highly sensitive” information was requested. Davidson’s letter was attached to a fax that was sent to the committee. Before continuing any further with their investigation, Davidson demanded a comprehensive reason, citing the fact that the first request made by the panel did not include any specific specifics that were easily understood.

As part of the ongoing investigations being conducted by the panel, Congressman Comer wrote a letter to Treasury Secretary Yellen on January 11 in which he inquired about any potentially questionable financial activity that may be associated with President Biden’s son and their business dealings in other countries.

On Wednesday, Davidson addressed rumors of a possible illegal disclosure involving the Biden family without confirming or denying the accusations. He issued a warning that such acts might have potentially detrimental repercussions on operations linked to law enforcement, intelligence, and national security that are carried out by the executive branch.

Comer replied by stating that the attempt by the Biden Administration to hide information regarding the financial ties of the President and his family is troubling and raises numerous issues. Comer asserted, “that,” “this coordinated effort by the Biden Administration to hide information about President Biden and his family’s shady business schemes is alarming and raises many questions.”

Comer followed his remarks in his letter to Yellen, the Secretary of the Treasury, by stating: “The Committee is investigating President Biden’s knowledge of and role in these schemes to assess whether he has compromised our national security at the expense of the American people.”

“(The Committee) will examine drafting legislation to strengthen federal ethics laws regarding employees and their families.”

Davidson, who is in charge of the Treasury’s affairs, gave an audacious response, claiming that the United States Treasury would “make determinations concerning how to accommodate legitimate legislative needs while also protecting Executive Branch interests, including law enforcement needs.”

Comer gave his response after reading the letter from the Treasury that was sent to Davidson. He said that he would continue to seek to view the reports, and he doubled down and added “the power of the gavel to get them if needed.”

As Republicans prepare multiple investigations into the business dealings of the Biden family, President-elect Joe Biden will launch a strategic counteroffensive against these investigations by relying on an outside group as well as the staff of supportive federal agencies and congressional Democrats. Additionally, he will turn to supportive federal agency staff.
