Tuesday night, a shocking interview revealed how Tarik Johnson, a former Capitol police officer, bravely intervened to protect the Senate. Johnson said in an exclusive interview with Tucker Carlson asking for permission to leave but not getting a response, which finally forced him to carry out the evacuation plan by himself and safeguard others inside.
Johnson and Carlson spoke on how, despite intelligence being aware that a protest will be place that day, “front-line officers and supervisors were not prepared at all.”

The Capitol Police’s neutrality suffered a serious breach on January 6 when many officers deviated from their duties as unbiased government employees. Unsurprisingly, Johnson was not asked to appear before the committee looking into the event despite being seen with a “MAGA” hat that demonstrators had put on him.
A person who proudly displayed a MAGA hat in a public picture had the ultimate consequence of losing his job as well as any hope at retirement security.
Once a photo of Tarik Johnson wearing a MAGA hat that a protester had put on his head surfaced, his employment was abruptly terminated. To make matters worse, he was never given the chance to appear before the J6 Committee of Congress and was refused access to the overdue pension payments.
Carlson demanded that the public be given access to all of the tape from January 6th in his opening monologue, adding, “sunlight is always and everywhere the best disinfectant.”
