Bishop Brennan’s Outrageous Attack on ICE
Bishop Mark Brennan of Wheeling-Charleston, West Virginia, recently penned a letter to his flock that shocked even longtime Church watchers. In it, he didn’t just criticize U.S. immigration enforcement — he outright compared ICE officers to Nazi war criminals.
Brennan wrote that ICE officers “cannot escape personal responsibility for an unjust action with the excuse that it was ordered by their superiors.” He went further, adding that “That defense was not allowed during the Nuremberg trials of Nazi war criminals at the end of World War II.”
