During a fiery discussion on HBO’s Real Time, Maher took on the former Obama staffers who host Pod Save America, slamming the Left’s obsession with pushing transgender ideology on children. And he warned that as long as Democrats keep backing this radical agenda, they will continue to lose elections.
“You want to lose every election? Just keep coming down on the side of parents coming in second in a ‘Who gets to decide what goes on with my kid’ contest,” Maher declared.

His comments set off a heated exchange with Jon Lovett, a former Obama speechwriter, who attempted to argue that parents should be involved in major decisions affecting their children. But Maher wasn’t buying it.
“Well, you just said parents can get shut out,” Maher pointed out, exposing the Left’s hypocrisy on the issue.
