A new storm is brewing on Capitol Hill, and it has the unmistakable fingerprints of the Clinton political machine all over it. According to Rep. Anna Paulina Luna (R-FL), both Bill and Hillary Clinton are now refusing to show up for their long-scheduled House Oversight Committee depositions tied to the widening investigation into their connections with Jeffrey Epstein. What was supposed to be a straightforward set of testimonies has quickly transformed into a political showdown — one that Republicans say raises even more questions about what the Clintons may be desperate to hide.
The fight traces back months, when the House Oversight Committee dramatically escalated its probe into Epstein’s network and the federal government’s handling of the original case. As part of that expansion, lawmakers sent out a wave of subpoenas in August 2025 targeting some of the most powerful figures in modern political history. That list included former FBI directors, multiple U.S. attorneys general, and at the very top, the Clintons themselves.
Hillary Clinton had been slated to testify on October 9, 2025. Bill Clinton was set for October 14. Both appearances were pushed back after the Clintons’ legal team requested delays, but Republicans expected that the rescheduled dates would be honored. Instead, investigators are now facing open resistance.
