During a private meeting, President Joe Biden angrily chastised David Axelrod, the renowned strategist who supported former President Barack Obama. The president responded angrily to Axelrod’s remark that it could be “wise” for Biden to forego running for reelection.
Sources who were present at the private sessions claimed that Biden called Axelrod a “prick” in the remarks, which were first reported by Fox News and then covered by POLITICO’s Jonathan Martin. According to Martin, the teasing “is not a strategy to win 270 electoral votes.”

Retraction of his remarks on X, Axelrod says that Biden need to make way for the younger Democratic candidates running for their party’s candidacies.
“Only @JoeBiden can make this decision. If he continues to run, he will be the nominee of the Democratic Party. What he needs to decide is whether that is wise; whether it’s in HIS best interest or the country’s?” Axelrod asked.
“It’s very late to change horses,” Axelrod went on to say that recent polling indicates that Biden is unquestionably in jeopardy.
Not only does President Biden despise Axelrod, but the media as a whole. Just last week, when asked about a recent New York Times poll that showed Biden trailing former President Donald Trump in five out of six crucial swing states, the president got into a furious argument with Fox News reporter Peter Doocy.
“Because you don’t read the polls — there are 10 polls — eight of them I’m beating him in. You guys only do two. CNN, New York Times, check it out. We’ll get you a copy,” In response, Biden violently pointed his finger at Doocy.
Though some relief may come from President Biden’s criticism of the media, voters’ mounting concerns about his age remain. As the oldest U.S. president ever, the White House is working hard to keep Biden from making any more embarrassing public mistakes or senior moments, but it could already be too late to persuade the public that he can lead.

Both an independent candidate and members of his own party pose threats to President Biden. His opponent in the Democratic primary is Congressman Dean Phillips, while Robert F. Kennedy, Jr. just declared his intention to withdraw from the Democratic Party and run for president as an independent.
