As he made his way to a campaign event, President Joe Biden waved away a reporter’s question concerning border security, accusing Republicans of undermining the likelihood of a border deal.
Over the boom of Marine One, Biden yelled. “I’ve done all I can do! Just give me the power! Give me the border patrol, give me the people, the judges. Give me the people who can stop this!”

The White House and Senate Republicans are now negotiating about a possible agreement that would increase financial support for Ukraine in return for a severe crackdown on unauthorized border crossings. When President Biden stated that he wanted to “shut down the border down,” many Democrats became concerned that he was making any kind of compromise.
Speaker of the House Mike Johnson (R-LA) said that the parameters of the existing agreement were not up to par and that the lower house would not be amused by it. He made it clear that the president already has the power to increase the number of deportations.
“I just heard Speaker Johnson saying it’s absolutely dead, which is what I wanted to hear,” On Tuesday morning, Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA) told CNN. “As a matter of fact, he said so clearly, ‘I don’t know why people keep asking me about it,’ because as it stands right now, there’s no way forward.”

Prior to his departure, President Biden was questioned about the several challenges to former President Donald Trump that will be on the 2024 ballot. In response, Biden said, “it’s fine” for his main opponent to carry on with his campaign before “jokes” that a reporter’s question on Trump represents the real “threat to democracy.”
WATCH:
It was recently admitted by President Biden—for the first time—that President Trump’s chances of winning the Republican Party nomination are not expected to be hampered by the legal system. Karine Jean-Pierre, the press secretary for the White House, stayed silent on the Colorado state Supreme Court’s previous ruling to temporarily remove Trump from the ballot. Since then, Trump has triumphed over obstacles in Washington, Maine, Massachusetts, Nevada, and Rhode Island.
