The announcement has sparked widespread reaction, underscoring the divisive nature of the administration’s choices.
A White House press release confirmed Clinton and Soros as two of the 19 recipients of this prestigious award. The medal is intended to recognize individuals who have made “exemplary contributions to the prosperity, values, or security of the United States, world peace, or other significant societal, public or private endeavors.”
