Biden Erupts: Doocy’s Polling Question Triggers Outburst

During a recent news conference, Fox News reporter Peter Doocy badgered after President Joe Biden to find out how he felt about a recent New York Times poll that showed him falling short of former President Donald Trump in five of the six pivotal swing states.

The question elicited a sharp response from the aging president.

“Because you don’t read the polls,” Biden gestured to Doocy in response. “[Unintelligible] Ten polls! Eight of them I’m beating him in those states. Eight of them. You guys only do two, CNN and New York Times.”

He said, “Check it out!” and promised to email Doocy the polling.

A shocking dataset published by the New York Times, Bloomberg, and Morning Consult last month revealed that President Biden was eight points behind President Trump in a head-to-head battle and may be as much as 10 points below President Trump with third-party candidates on the ballot. In the aggregate, among voters in Arizona, Georgia, Michigan, Nevada, North Carolina, Pennsylvania, and Wisconsin, Biden trails Trump 43 percent to 47 percent. With almost 5,000 registered voters, the poll’s error margin is a mere 1 percent.

Significant obstacles lie in the way of President Biden’s administration and reputation on several fronts. Feeling down is a result of a number of factors, including international wars, a weak economy, and a deteriorating migrant problem. The gap between red and blue states is widening as Election Day draws near, but a few swing states will probably determine the winner. Both Biden and Trump come into this important race with a good deal of baggage.

Despite his four criminal indictments, President Trump is receiving favorable votes from voters in Arizona and Georgia. With four points to spare, Trump currently leads in Arizona, a state that Biden barely won in 2020. In a similar vein, Trump now has a five percent advantage in Georgia, the state that Biden barely prevailed four years ago. Blue-and purple-leaning Michigan shifted from Trump to Biden by a 3 percent advantage in 2020, but the two candidates are now too close to call.

President Biden lashes out at the media once more, continuing a trend of angry outbursts. As both local and foreign situations worsen, Biden has a history of retaliating violently against journalists who bring up his son Hunter. Journalists who have dared to challenge Biden’s honesty about his family’s business dealings have even been branded as “inappropriate” by White House Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre.
