Officials from the Energy Department promise that new restrictions would save customers over $500 billion over the course of the next 30 years.
According to a senior scholar at CEI, Biden’s climate change goal is being masked as increased efficiency requirements.
“Ostensibly, these DOE efficiency standards are supposed to benefit consumers. That’s the way the law is written,” Lieberman said. “But they’re clearly being done as part of the climate agenda, especially this agenda to electrify everything.”
