For years, Democrats have preached about “protecting democracy” while accusing Republicans of undermining it. But this weekend, former Texas Congressman Beto O’Rourke pulled back the curtain — and what he revealed should send shivers down the spine of every American voter.
“Drive That Car Like We Stole It”
At a rally in Fort Worth, billed as a protest against Republican redistricting, O’Rourke tossed aside the usual talking points and told the crowd exactly what Democrats should do if they get power again.
“We absolutely failed to live up to the expectations that we set, so next time we win power, we’re going to drive that car like we stole it,” O’Rourke said, earning roaring applause.
He didn’t stop there. O’Rourke openly called for Democrat-led states to gerrymander themselves into permanent control.
