A conservative journalist covering the chaos in Portland says she was violently attacked this week by a masked radical while police officers stood by and did nothing. Katie Daviscourt, a reporter with the Post Millennial, shared her shocking story after being left with a black eye from the encounter.
Daviscourt appeared on Fox News’ Jesse Watters Primetime Wednesday night, where the swelling around her right eye was clearly visible. She explained that she was documenting protests outside Portland’s Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) building when things took a violent turn.
According to Daviscourt, the attack was carried out by “Antifa-affiliated protesters who harass, assault, and threaten anyone who they perceive to be a threat to their cause, including journalists, local residents, and ICE agents.”
She described Portland as a city spiraling into anarchy. “That’s what it’s been like covering Portland for the past four months. Complete lawlessness,” Daviscourt told Jesse Watters, referencing her ongoing coverage of nightly demonstrations in a city still reeling from the 2020 riots following George Floyd’s death.
