The shooting of Mike Gill is detailed by the New York Post.
At 5:45 p.m. on Monday, the unidentified perpetrator began his crime spree by shooting Gill in the head as he was sitting in his parked automobile on K Street NW. The attacker then fled on foot, according to police reports.
Investigators are looking into whether Gill was shot by the attacker when they were trying to take his car.
According to what was revealed to the newspaper, Yolanda Douglas saw the victim stretched out on the pavement with one foot inside the car and the door open.

His palm quivered as blood gathered around his head, which was covered in a dress shirt and sweater.
Douglas then witnessed a lady yelling hysterically, “Oh my God, that’s my husband,” as she emerged from a building across the street. She immediately hurried up to Douglas and grasped his hand.
Gill’s vehicle keys and another tiny metal object fell off him as the paramedics came and placed him onto a stretcher, according to her.
Further details on the shooting event were given by the D.C. police, according to FOX 5 DC’s report.
Around seven o’clock at night, Cunningham tried to steal a vehicle from the 1000 block of 3rd Street after shooting Gill. Ten minutes later, he shot 35-year-old Alberto Vasquez, Jr. after demanding keys from individuals in the 1200 block of 3rd Street, then took off in the victim’s vehicle. Later on, Vasquez, Jr. passed away in a local hospital from his wounds.
Cunningham allegedly shot at a D.C. police officer on I-295 and a Maryland State Police trooper helping a damaged vehicle on I-95 in Laurel, Maryland, following two more carjackings. Cunningham was shot and killed by New Carrollton police early on Tuesday morning after he reportedly approached them armed at a Lanham crossroads.
Police think Cunningham, a Suitland resident with a modest criminal history in Maryland and Washington, DC, has mental health problems. The inquiry is still ongoing.
Mike Gill’s close buddy Nick Onufrak provided a testimonial.
