AOC FURIOUS After Top Democrat Exposes Her!

>> Continued From the Previous Page <<

Now, with New York City in chaos, Cuomo is eyeing a return—this time as mayor. And he’s positioning himself as the so-called “moderate” against a field of far-left candidates.

During an interview on The Stephen A. Smith Show, Cuomo took aim at the radical “Defund the Police” movement, which Ocasio-Cortez championed in 2020.

“You’ve had this move starting in about 2020, an anti-police movement right? Cut the funding for the police. Police are bad,” Cuomo stated. “Well, that has consequences. You cut the police, don’t be surprised when crime goes up. You cut the police, don’t be surprised when people are afraid to go into the subways because of the rate of crime.”

His remarks put him in direct opposition to Ocasio-Cortez and the progressive wing of the Democrat Party, which has pushed anti-police policies that have devastated cities across the country.

Cuomo’s Hypocrisy on Policing Exposed

While Cuomo is now talking tough on crime, his record tells a different story. Back in 2020, as left-wing riots spread across the country, he signed an executive order threatening to pull funding from police departments unless they implemented his so-called “reforms.”

At the time, he even defended defunding the police, calling it a “legitimate school of thought.”

Under his leadership, New York adopted a disastrous no-cash bail policy, which fueled a crime wave by putting repeat offenders back on the streets. The law, signed by Cuomo, allowed violent criminals to walk free while law-abiding citizens suffered.

Now, as he eyes the New York City Mayor’s office, Cuomo is desperately trying to rebrand himself. But voters aren’t likely to forget his role in the lawlessness that’s taken over the Big Apple.

Democrats Scramble to Distance Themselves From Crime Policies

The 2024 election sent a clear message: Americans are fed up with the left’s soft-on-crime policies.

Ocasio-Cortez and her allies once proudly championed defunding the police, but now, with crime spiraling out of control, they’re trying to walk it back. But voters aren’t buying it.

Cuomo’s strategy is clear—he wants to run as a “moderate” Democrat who stands against the radical policies of the far left. But the truth is, his record is no different from the same progressives he’s now criticizing.

As New York City gears up for a contentious mayoral race, one thing is certain: Cuomo may try to reinvent himself, but his past speaks louder than his campaign rhetoric. And Ocasio-Cortez isn’t going to let him get away with it without a fight.
