A violent ambush on a Texas police officer has exposed just how far radical anti-ICE extremists are willing to go in their war against America’s law enforcement. What took place outside the Prairieland ICE Detention Facility wasn’t a protest—it was a calculated strike straight out of a militant playbook.
Independence Day Turned Into a War Zone
On the night of July 4th, freedom was under assault in Alvarado, Texas. Just before 11 p.m., a swarm of more than a dozen masked radicals, clad head to toe in black, descended on the federal detention center. Armed with fireworks and tools for destruction, they set about vandalizing vehicles and smashing surveillance systems in what authorities believe was a deliberate ploy to bait police into a deadly trap.
Federal insiders say the attackers unleashed fireworks as a diversion tactic, drawing local officers into the chaos. When Alvarado police arrived to investigate suspicious activity, they walked into a nightmare.
