She reminded listeners what the Left actually did during the summer of 2020 — when mobs tore down monuments, burned cities, and erased America’s past while Democrats either applauded or looked away.
“After years of them ripping down centuries-old American history, all of the monuments, anyone in American history who held a slave or did not denounce slavery, which would be everyone on the face of the earth, since slavery existed in every country, every place,” Coulter continued.
And she wasn’t done yet.
Coulter went even further, exposing a topic the mainstream media refuses to touch — slavery that still exists today.
“And guess what? It still exists today, Marc Simone, principally in sub-Sahara Africa,” Coulter explained.
“But no one will point that out. Perhaps we should cut off their funding,” she added.
The same Democrats who tore down statues of Washington and Jefferson now claim to be defenders of history — but stay silent when confronted with modern-day slavery.
During the Black Lives Matter riots of 2020, more than 130 monuments across the nation were destroyed or removed. Statues of Thomas Jefferson, George Washington, and Ulysses S. Grant were toppled by angry mobs. Even abolitionist hero Frederick Douglass wasn’t safe — vandals tore down his statue in Rochester, New York, on the anniversary of his famous “What to the Slave is the Fourth of July?” speech.
In Boston, protesters beheaded a statue of Christopher Columbus. In Wisconsin, they ripped down an abolitionist named Hans Christian Heg and threw his statue into a lake. These weren’t Confederate generals — they were American heroes who helped build and preserve this country.
Democrat mayors and governors didn’t stop the chaos — they joined it. Some even ordered removals themselves. The party that lectures America about “respecting democracy” cheered as its supporters erased history from public view.
Coulter connected these attacks to a larger trend — the Left’s obsession with erasing America’s past in the name of political correctness.
“This is why, I mean, all the Black Lives Matter protests, the ripping down of history, the replacing portraits at universities, the science room, it has all their Nobel Prize winners,” Coulter said.
“Nope, gotta take those portraits down because they’re all white males,” she added.
Democrat leaders have replaced pride in American heritage with divisive identity politics. From Virginia’s Governor Ralph Northam removing the Robert E. Lee statue in Richmond, to mayors like Randall Woodfin, Martin Walsh, and Philadelphia’s officials tearing down or hiding monuments — the pattern is clear.
Their message: if history doesn’t fit the narrative, erase it.
The irony? Trump’s White House upgrade is part of a tradition that dates back over two centuries. Every president has left their mark on the residence.
Theodore Roosevelt built the West Wing in 1902. William Howard Taft created the Oval Office. Calvin Coolidge expanded the upper floors. Franklin Roosevelt added the East Wing. Harry Truman completely rebuilt the interior. Even John F. Kennedy and Richard Nixon made their own changes.
Trump’s planned ballroom — privately funded at around $200 million — will hold 650 guests for state dinners and major events. The current East Room barely holds 200, forcing presidents to host gatherings in temporary outdoor tents.
When liberals accuse Trump of “desecrating” the White House, Coulter’s response says it all:
“So yeah, don’t, oh, the arson and mostly peaceful protests. Do not talk to me about desecration,” she fired back.
Democrats didn’t care when BLM rioters torched buildings, looted stores, and destroyed monuments to America’s founders. But they suddenly care about a privately funded ballroom?
The hypocrisy couldn’t be clearer — or more laughable.
President Trump is once again restoring American tradition and pride. And Ann Coulter just reminded the nation exactly who’s been tearing it down all along.
