In many states, left-leaning organizations start a campaign to keep Donald Trump off the ballot in 2024.
It is obvious that the only reason these organizations are putting forth the effort is because they are worried about Trump’s chances of triumphing in crucial states like California, Colorado, Georgia, Oregon, and Nevada.

Biden received support from all five states in the 2020 election, with Nevada having the narrowest margin (only 2.4 percent). However, Georgia was infamously even closer, with Biden winning by just 0.3 points.
Trump’s name being struck from the ballot in those two states might have an impact, but California, Colorado, and Oregon seem unlikely to be affected. Biden was strongly preferred in these states by margins of 29.2, 13.5, and 16.1, respectively.
Despite potential wins in Georgia and Nevada, Trump would still fall short by 28 Electoral College votes needed for victory, under the assumption that all other factors remain unchanged.
A week of powerful protests outside the secretaries of state’s offices in California, Colorado, Georgia, and Oregon were launched by Mi Familia Vota and Free Speech for People. The Hill covered this noteworthy effort.
The outlet omitted to explain why there were no scheduled events in Nevada. It did, however, mention that the organizations had previously gotten in touch with Nevada Secretary of State Cisco Aguilar about this issue.
Trump’s involvement in the attack on the Capitol on January 6th, according to the groups, provides the secretary of state in each state the authority under the 14th Amendment to forbid him from running for office.
It’s curious that The Hill twice referred to that incident as the “Capitol insurrection” while noting elsewhere that the Congressional Research Service had said it wasn’t clear. “whether the events of Jan. 6 rise to the level of ‘insurrection or rebellion again’ the United States.” (The editorial policy of The Western Journal calls the actions of that day the “Capitol incursion.”)
Even if that were the case, Section 3 of the 14th Amendment might not prevent Trump from winning the presidency again, claims The Hill. This is so because, contrary to what the CRS claims, the section does not specifically mention the presidency.

The 14th Amendment’s Section 3, also known as the Insurrectionist Disqualification Clause, declares:
“No person shall be a Senator or Representative in Congress, or elector of President and Vice President, or hold any office, civil or military, under the United States, or under any state, who, having previously taken an oath, as a member of Congress, or as an officer of the United States, or as a member of any state legislature, or as an executive or judicial officer of any state, to support the Constitution of the United States, shall have engaged in insurrection or rebellion against the same, or given aid or comfort to the enemies thereof. But Congress may by a vote of two-thirds of each House, remove such disability.”
The claim is that Section 3 may be applied to the president, preventing Trump from holding office even if he is not found guilty of insurrection or rebellion.
The organizations have banded together under the banner “Trump is Disqualified” for their joint project. They have purposefully timed their series of protests to coincide with the momentous 155th anniversary of the 14th Amendment’s ratification in 1868.
The inquiry into Trump’s role in the event on January 6 is ongoing, but it hasn’t stopped the organizations from carrying out their strategy.
“Trump is responsible for the January 6th insurrection, plain and simple,” The inquiry into Trump’s role in the event on January 6 is ongoing, but it hasn’t stopped the organizations from carrying out their strategy. “Failing to hold him responsible not only violates the Constitution, but it also sets a dangerous precedent for permitting violent attacks on our democracy. That’s not a risk we can afford to take.”
“We’re really focusing on Nevada and California and [Oregon, Colorado and Georgia] to make sure that they are taking a stand by disqualifying Trump in those spaces, which is something that the secretary of state can do,”
Executive director of Mi Familia Vota Héctor Sánchez told The Hill that even if the campaign was successful in 2024, he didn’t know what effect he anticipated it to make.
“We had a number of meetings with secretaries of state and we have had this discussion,” he added. “So it’s a real possibility.”

Wow!!! The democrats are totally stiff with fear from a Trump run! Why? Because they know they can’t AGAIN cheat enough to get Pedo Joe across the finish line again!
Dem’s running scared of loosing power . We need Trumpto get back on top.
