Laura Ingraham’s ON-AIR MELTDOWN With Alina Habba!

>> Continued From the Previous Page <<

“OK,” Ingraham began. “But China’s already bought up American companies, agricultural interests and huge swaths of land and properties! Including some that we’ve documented here on the Angle near our military bases. But did MAGA turn out for Trump because they wanted more of that? Or they want thousands of more foreign workers here to drive down wages and opportunities for Americans?”

To get further clarification, Ingraham brought on Alina Habba, senior counselor to Trump, and directly pressed her about the former president’s remarks.

“A little murmuring in MAGA-land about the comments about China today,” Ingraham noted. “Did MAGA vote for China to be able to buy up more American real estate or American companies, they ask.”

Habba, appearing visibly frustrated by the line of questioning, dismissed the notion that Trump was softening his stance on China.

“Is that really a question?” she shot back. “Really? That’s what we’re doing now, the spin? That’s the spin?”

Trump, she argued, has consistently taken a hardline approach toward China. She pointed to his 10 percent tariffs on all Chinese imports and his executive order blocking Chinese investments in key American industries as proof of his commitment to protecting U.S. interests.

Habba further clarified Trump’s remarks, explaining that his goal was to create a fair playing field in trade—something previous administrations failed to do.

“Yeah, no. What the president said was very simple. It’s the same policy we’ve had across the board. When you look at reciprocal tariffs, when you look at the strong arm that President Trump has had with China, with Canada, with Mexico. We want America to be safe. We care about American people first,” Habba stated.

She reiterated that economic relationships between nations are inevitable but must be structured in a way that prioritizes American interests.

“What the president was referring to was us continuing to have business relations,” Habba continued. “We do import/export. Of course we do. That is what we’re talking about. Yes, we are going to be a strong nation. Yes, we are going to have peace through strength. Yes, we are going to have a stronger economy.”

Ingraham’s pointed questions reflect concerns among some in the MAGA movement who want to ensure Trump’s policies remain aligned with the America First doctrine. The heated exchange highlights the ongoing debate over how to handle China’s growing influence in the U.S. economy.

With Trump on track for another White House run, this discussion will only intensify. The question remains—how will he balance economic engagement with China while ensuring America’s national interests remain protected?
