Less than an hour after his meeting with this anti-Trump alliance, Zelensky entered the White House, not as a negotiator, but as an antagonist. His behavior made that clear. Instead of engaging diplomatically, he:
- Disrespected President Trump and his Cabinet
- Spoke over both Trump and Vice President J.D. Vance
- Addressed VP Vance by his first name instead of his title
- Argued aggressively with the President
- Dismissed American interests entirely
The reality is obvious: Zelensky never came to Washington for honest negotiations. He came to keep the war going, despite the devastation it has caused his own country. And who benefits? Defense contractors, global elites, and corrupt politicians who want endless conflict, not peace.
His outright rejection of the mineral deal proves he answers to the same globalist machine that profits from war. He’s not acting in Ukraine’s best interests—he’s serving the interests of those who want to weaken Trump and America’s stance on peace.
President Trump and Vice President Vance saw through the charade and didn’t allow Zelensky to manipulate the American people.
Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent revealed in an exclusive interview with Laura Ingraham that this is the third time Zelensky has refused to sign a mineral agreement. He recounted how Zelensky dodged the deal first in Kyiv, then again during negotiations with Vice President Vance and Secretary of State Rubio.
Secretary of State Marco Rubio backed up this claim in an interview with CNN’s Kaitlan Collins. He made it clear that Zelensky’s refusal to sign the deal was unnecessary.
“They insisted on coming to D.C. This agreement could have been signed five days ago, but they insisted on coming to Washington. And there was a very, and should have been a very clear understanding: don’t come here and create such a scenario where you’re going to start lecturing us about how diplomacy isn’t going to work,” Rubio stated.

“President Zelensky took it in that direction, and it ended in a predictable outcome as a result. It’s unfortunate. That wasn’t supposed to be this way, but that’s the path he chose, and I think, frankly, it sends this country backwards in regards to achieving peace, which is what President Trump wants. At the end of the day, he wants this war to end. He’s been as consistent as anyone can be about what his objective is here.”
Zelensky wasn’t there to make peace or uphold agreements. He came to grandstand, undermine Trump, and keep the war machine running at America’s expense.
