JUST IN: 6 Young Girls Arrested in Sickening Assault!

>> Continued From the Previous Page <<

On Thursday, authorities apprehended an 11-year-old and a 13-year-old in connection with the attack. The two face multiple charges, including assault with a dangerous weapon, conspiracy to riot, simple assault, and disorderly conduct.

By Friday, four additional girls—also between the ages of 11 and 14—were arrested and charged with assault with a dangerous weapon and rioting.

Further investigation suggested that all six girls may have been motivated by hate or bias, leading prosecutors to pursue hate crime enhancements alongside their existing assault charges.

D.C. Police Chief Pamela Smith praised detectives for their swift action in tracking down the young suspects.

“I hope the swiftness of these arrests, and the consequences these young people will soon face, deters activity like this from occurring again,” she said.

“We need to continue instilling values in our youngest residents that steer them toward success and away from criminal behavior.”

Disturbingly, this attack is just one in a growing pattern of violent juvenile crime gripping the nation’s capital. Reports indicate that the Union Station incident may have involved as many as nine suspects.

In another shocking case, two underage criminals recently robbed a man on a Green Line train, stealing his high-end Canada Goose jacket before fleeing. The suspects were later arrested in Maryland in connection with additional crimes.

D.C. Mayor Muriel Bowser expressed frustration over the city’s struggle to hold young offenders accountable, pointing to lenient diversion programs that often allow them to escape real consequences.

“We have a good arrest, we make a good case. They have to be charged and put in the system,” Bowser stated Friday.

“And I’ve said repeatedly, that doesn’t mean a diversion, that doesn’t mean an unaccountable supervision program. That means we need them in the system.”

With violent crime surging and youth offenders emboldened, many are questioning whether D.C.’s current approach to juvenile justice is fueling lawlessness instead of preventing it.

As authorities press forward with charges, the focus now shifts to whether the system will finally deliver real justice for the victims—or if these violent teens will once again slip through the cracks.
