Trump’s $10 Million Settlement with Twitter
Sean Hannity wasted no time, dropping a bombshell: Trump successfully sued Twitter (before Musk’s takeover) and walked away with a $10 million settlement.
Back in July 2021, Trump filed a class-action lawsuit against Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg and Twitter CEO Jack Dorsey after his permanent ban from the platforms following January 6th. The lawsuit challenged Section 230 of the Communications Decency Act, arguing it was unconstitutional.
Musk, now the owner of Twitter (X), confirmed that he agreed to settle the lawsuit for $10 million.
“I sued long before he had it. They really did a number on me. I sued, and they had to pay a $10 million settlement,” Trump stated.
Musk explained that he left the decision up to his legal team, saying, “I said, ‘You guys do what you think makes sense.’”
Trump, however, made it clear that he was expecting a lot more. “I was looking to get much more money than that.”
