For Kelly, such remarks not only trivialize historical tragedies but also undermine legitimate discourse. “It is ridiculous. It’s got an actual function. It’s the day that the 2024 election will be officially certified,” she reminded listeners, emphasizing that January 6 is fundamentally a procedural event in Congress.
Kelly didn’t hold back in accusing the media of using January 6 to smear Trump supporters unfairly.
“But it is more important to the corporate media the day that they will celebrate their favorite anniversary to smear all Trump supporters and again, to treat this day as though it does live in infamy, akin to that of 9/11 or Pearl Harbor,” she argued.
The January 6 narrative, Kelly suggested, is part of a broader trend of fabrications. “It’s similar to how they’ve run out of real examples of racism everywhere. So they have to make them up. You know, they’ve run out of examples to make Trump supporters look horrible,” she said.

“So they’ve got to exaggerate what happened on January 6 to make it into one of the riots that they did… They’ve got to make it sound like the right. Those are the rioters, those the insurrectionists. Those are the ones who are truly a problem,” Kelly concluded.
