In what many are calling yet another devastating example of California’s ongoing wildfire crisis, a massive blaze erupted in Pacific Palisades on Tuesday, engulfing homes and forcing thousands to flee. The fire, fueled by strong winds, has already consumed more than 2,900 acres, leaving behind a trail of destruction and fear.
The inferno, which began earlier this week, quickly spiraled out of control as powerful wind gusts reaching up to 65 miles per hour swept through Southern California. According to AccuWeather, these gusts are expected to intensify overnight, possibly reaching speeds of 80 miles per hour. The unpredictable winds have made containment efforts increasingly challenging for firefighters on the ground.
