Washington, D.C. – Congresswoman Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA) once again dominated headlines after a fiery encounter with Alex Lawson, the executive director of the left-leaning advocacy group Social Security Works. The tense exchange occurred just outside a meeting where Greene was set to discuss recommendations for President-elect Donald Trump’s incoming Department of Government Efficiency.
The confrontation quickly turned into a spectacle as Greene forcefully rejected what she described as a “political ambush” orchestrated by Lawson. The executive director had approached Greene with an apparent demand: pledge to keep Social Security and Medicare cuts off the table. Greene saw the move as a transparent attempt to fuel Democratic attack ads, a tactic she was not about to entertain.
