Authorities have confirmed the identity of the suspect involved in Monday’s heartbreaking shooting at Abundant Life Christian School in Madison, Wisconsin, as 15-year-old Natalie “Samantha” Rupnow. The devastating attack claimed the lives of a teacher, a fellow student, and the shooter herself, leaving a community grappling with shock and grief.
The incident unfolded just before 11 a.m. on Monday, when Rupnow entered a classroom during study hall and opened fire with a 9mm handgun. According to law enforcement, the rampage ended with Rupnow taking her own life through a self-inflicted gunshot wound.

Emergency services responded swiftly, thanks to a second-grade student’s heroic 911 call. When officers arrived on the scene, they discovered Rupnow already deceased. Authorities confirmed that no shots were fired by responding officers.
The Aftermath of the Attack
The tragic shooting resulted in the deaths of a beloved teacher and one student, whose identities are being withheld until their families can be properly notified. Six others sustained injuries during the attack; two remain in critical condition, while the others are reported to have less severe wounds.
