In a recent statement, Hope declared, “A litmus test for me and my friends for like years now has been if the guy we’re talking to follows podcaster, comedian, and UFC commentator Joe Rogan on Instagram.” According to her, the mere act of following Rogan is enough to end any budding relationship, claiming it has led to “some heartbreak” and “disappointment” in the past.

For Hope and her friends, following Rogan signals a misalignment in values. “If they follow him [Rogan], we’re like, yeah, this person probably isn’t a great person, and probably our values don’t align,” she explained. “So, we’re gonna move on from that, and honestly, it’s worked out well for all of us.”
