According to the report by Amol Sharma, Comcast is expected to officially announce the move Wednesday, confirming it plans to separate its cable TV assets, including MSNBC, CNBC, USA, Oxygen, E!, Syfy, and Golf Channel. These networks, which brought in about $7 billion in revenue for the year ending September 30, were once considered the crown jewels of Comcast’s media empire. The move highlights the company’s decision to pivot away from these cable assets, which are no longer viewed as the company’s future.

As the news broke, Scarborough made an attempt to downplay the situation with some light-hearted commentary. When this happens, you never know what’s going to happen,” he said.
