The ONE Thing at Trump Rally That Set Cheney Off!

“I’m thrilled to accept the endorsement of these highly respected leaders,” Trump declared, bringing the community leaders on stage to enthusiastic applause. Imam Belal Alzuhairi voiced his support, sharing, “We, as Muslims, stand with President Trump because he promises peace, not war! We are supporting Donald Trump because he promised to end war in the Middle East and Ukraine. The bloodshed has to stop all over the world, and I think this man can make that happen. I personally believe that God saved his life twice for a reason.”

The endorsement of Dearborn Heights Mayor Bill Bazzi, a Lebanese-born Muslim immigrant, further solidified this significant shift. Bazzi expressed his desire for an end to foreign conflicts, underscoring Trump’s commitment to reducing military involvement abroad. Trump responded warmly, calling it a “nice endorsement,” and affirmed his support for peace-driven leadership. “These are great people,” he added, emphasizing the importance of their endorsement.

Trump didn’t hold back in his criticism of Cheney, highlighting her role in the perceived missteps of past foreign policy. In a powerful rebuke, he attacked Cheney for her advocacy of military interventions and labeled her as a “Muslim-hating warmonger.” Trump underscored what he views as her hawkish stance, suggesting that Cheney’s foreign policy record alienates the very voters Harris seeks to win over. “Kamala is campaigning with Muslim-hating warmonger Liz Cheney, who wants to invade practically every Muslim country on the planet,” Trump said. “And let me tell you, the Muslims of our country, they see it and they know it.”

He continued his critique, taking aim at Cheney’s father, former Vice President Dick Cheney, for his role in the Iraq War. “Her father was responsible for invading the Middle East, killing millions of Arabs. Millions,” Trump told the crowd, underscoring his stance against Cheney’s involvement in U.S. foreign policy.

With his sights on Cheney, Trump also reminded the audience of her failed political career, referencing her 2022 primary loss. “She lost by the biggest margin in the history of the United States Congress, lost by almost 40 points,” he remarked. “Nobody, no sitting Congressperson, has ever lost by even close to that amount. And now she’s a primary endorser.” Trump attributed their differences to Cheney’s interventionist beliefs. “The reason I don’t get along with her is because she wants to invade every damn country that she looked at,” he added. “She’s a dope, like her father’s a dope.”

As the 2024 election season intensifies, Cheney’s presence in Harris’ campaign is sparking considerable debate. Her reputation as a prominent “RINO” (Republican In Name Only) and her foreign policy record are causing a ripple effect that may not be beneficial for Harris’ campaign, particularly among critical voter blocs.

The backlash against Cheney’s foreign policy legacy is particularly acute in Michigan, where Muslim voters’ support for Trump signals a shift from the Democratic party. Having been one of the most dependable Democratic demographics since 2008, Michigan’s Arab American and Muslim voters may now be the deciding factor in a state that has been hotly contested in recent elections.

While Harris and Cheney aim to appeal to moderates, this partnership appears to have inadvertently pushed some voters toward Trump. With Cheney’s return to the public eye stirring both controversy and renewed support for Trump, it remains to be seen whether this alliance will ultimately benefit Harris or drive further divides among the electorate. For now, however, Trump’s rally in Michigan has highlighted the growing tensions within the 2024 political landscape—and the lasting impact of Cheney’s political legacy on her party.
