In response to these revelations, Tim Vetter joined forces with other election integrity advocates, including United Sovereign Americans and Check My Vote’s Mantravadi, to file a lawsuit against Michigan’s top election officials. The legal action, supported by multiple advocacy groups and public figures, calls into question Michigan’s adherence to federal election standards established in 2022. According to the lawsuit, Michigan election officials did not meet the minimum standards required to verify and secure federal election data. The legal filing warns, “If the 2022 election performance is repeated in 2024, Petitioners and all Michigan voters will suffer damages.”
According to Michigan law, voter records are to be maintained for at least five years post-certification, and any alterations to vote history could result in felony charges. Vetter warns that tampering with or modifying these records post-certification could amount to “vote laundering” or manipulation of public voting data. This legal requirement aims to prevent any changes to records that have already been certified, much like a bank’s transactional record-keeping system.

Vetter has also called attention to systemic issues in Michigan’s Qualified Voter Files (QVF), the state’s official voter registration database. He reported an unusual spike in cases where voters appeared to cast multiple ballots in recent elections, with a significant increase in duplicate ballots surfacing in 2023. This pattern has raised questions among Michigan voters and election watchdog groups about whether the SOS’s office is implementing new policies to track duplicate votes or simply overlooking the issue.
The broader implications are even more unsettling. Recent research on Michigan’s voter registration revealed tens of thousands of erroneous entries, including invalid addresses, duplicate registrations, and votes attributed to underage or deceased individuals. Vetter believes this indicates a lack of adequate oversight and transparency in managing voter data. According to him, “The data shows we had over a FIFTY-fold increase in duplicate voters between the last two major elections in 2024. If we don’t resolve this issue, we can absolutely expect to see a significant increase in duplicate ballots/voters again in our next election.”

As he says, “The transparency of this process has been removed just for this election… they took the report that was working and broke it so they could cheat!” His call to action is clear: restore transparency and secure Michigan’s elections for every voter.
