In a bold and eye-opening revelation, longtime liberal journalist Ana Kasparian has publicly discussed her decision to leave the Democratic Party, citing an alarming personal experience and the troubling responses she received from fellow liberals. Kasparian, known for her work on “The Young Turks,” shared her story on Jillian Michaels’ podcast “Keeping It Real” on October 7, where she expressed feelings of political alienation due to the left’s increasingly extreme policies on free speech and crime.
During the podcast, Kasparian opened up about a terrifying incident that occurred in 2022 while she was walking her dog in Los Angeles. Although she had become accustomed to the city’s issues with homelessness and had never felt threatened before, this encounter left her shaken.

“It was dusk, and I saw two men behaving erratically,” Kasparian recalled. “They were clearly homeless and likely under the influence of something, but I didn’t think much of it.” She continued, explaining that living in Los Angeles, encounters with the homeless population had become routine.
