Politico reported that Democrats are aiming to capitalize on the Uniformed and Overseas Citizens Absentee Voting Act (UOCAVA) to reach these overseas voters, a strategy that some argue could be prone to exploitation.
The figures presented by Democrats, however, have raised eyebrows. They claim that 1.6 million UOCAVA voters from swing states alone will play a pivotal role in the 2024 election, a number critics describe as unrealistic. Many, including conservative outlets like The Gateway Pundit, have pointed out inconsistencies in the math. “The Gateway Pundit was first to warn Republicans about this appalling scam that will allow Democrats to easily steal the 2024 election,” wrote Patty McMurray in a September report.

It’s no secret that UOCAVA votes have been instrumental in tight races before. In the 2000 presidential election, George W. Bush secured victory over Al Gore in Florida by a mere 537 votes, with overseas absentee ballots playing a crucial role in sealing the win. Democrats, no doubt, took note of how overseas voters can tip the scales in close races.
