Pelosi: 1/3 of GOP Are Racist Homophobes!

In a recent interview, former House Speaker Nancy Pelosi made a provocative statement that is sparking reactions across the political spectrum. Pelosi suggested that about 30 percent of Republican voters may be motivated by racist, sexist, or homophobic beliefs. These remarks came during a discussion at a Texas Tribune-sponsored festival, where Pelosi spoke on the dynamics of the upcoming 2024 presidential election between former President Donald Trump and current Vice President Kamala Harris.

“There are people who will never be, shall we say, inclined to support Democrats because of — they just have a different orientation toward women, people of color, LGBTQ, you know, they just are not ever going to be there,” Pelosi explained. She continued by estimating that this mindset could account for “about 30% or something like that … of the Republicans.”

The fallout from Clinton’s comment was swift, and many believe it contributed to her ultimate defeat. Now, Pelosi’s remarks are being interpreted as a fresh swipe at the GOP’s voter base.
