Tulsi: Unscripted Harris Could Crash in Debate!

>> Continued From the Previous Page <<

Gabbard believes that Harris will once again face a significant test in an unscripted environment, particularly when confronted with tough questions about her tenure as Vice President. “This is going to be the same challenge that Kamala Harris has in tomorrow’s debate,” Gabbard noted. “She’s been vice president for the last three and a half years. She has a very clear record on all of the important issues that the American people are most concerned about, both domestic and foreign. She’s trying very hard to run away from those.”

As the debate approaches, Gabbard anticipates Harris will try to shift the conversation away from her record, while Trump will focus on making it a key issue. “President Trump also has a very clear record on those issues during his first term in the presidency,” Gabbard continued. “And so she’s going to have to be confronted. President Trump knows her record very well. She’s going to have to answer some tough questions about why she didn’t fix the things that she is now claiming are broken.”

Gabbard, who has transitioned from being a progressive Democrat to endorsing Trump, emphasized that Harris will come prepared with polished responses but will falter when the debate goes off-script. “Kamala will deliver some very well-rehearsed lines. I have no doubt that’s what she’s doing now, is memorizing those lines and doing so by being grilled with a Donald Trump stand-in,” Gabbard said.

According to reports, Harris has been working with a Trump impersonator during her debate preparation, much like Hillary Clinton did in 2016. This approach is designed to help her prepare for Trump’s unpredictable style. However, Gabbard suggests that, as in 2019, Harris will struggle to maintain control when Trump presents facts that she would prefer to avoid. “But again, in the same way that I did with her in 2019, how she does in those unscripted moments, how she does in response to the truths and facts that Donald Trump will be sharing with the American people that she does not want them to know — this is going to be very revealing,” Gabbard added.

Additionally, Gabbard expressed concerns about potential bias from the debate moderators, predicting they may go easy on Harris. She pointed out that both moderators have demonstrated strong anti-Trump biases in the past, and ABC News, which is broadcasting the debate, is led by Disney executive Dana Walden, a longtime friend and supporter of Harris. This could create an environment where Harris is shielded from some of the toughest questions.

When asked how Trump should approach the debate, Gabbard advised him to stay focused on the issues, much like he did in his June debate with President Joe Biden. “No matter what happened with Joe Biden, [Trump] didn’t get personal. He stayed very focused on the issues that are most important to the American people and kept reminding voters about the truth of Joe Biden’s record. He will do the same with Kamala Harris and not allow her to get away with the lies that she’s telling the American people,” Gabbard said.

With the ABC News debate set to take place at 9 p.m. Eastern Time, Harris has indicated that she may be open to another debate later this fall, though no details have been confirmed. The high stakes of this debate, combined with Harris’ record and Trump’s direct style, set the stage for a pivotal moment that could significantly impact the race moving forward.
