Harris FINALLY Faces Media After 18 Days!

>> Continued From the Previous Page <<

Trump had earlier announced his participation in three debates scheduled for next month, which will be broadcast on Fox News Channel, NBC, and ABC. However, there was some uncertainty surrounding the ABC debate, initially planned to feature Vice President Biden before Harris took over as the Democratic candidate. Trump’s reluctance to commit fully to the ABC debate prompted Harris to remark, “I am beyond trying to speculate about how he thinks.”

In addition to these remarks, Harris defended her recent choice of Minnesota Governor Tim Walz as her running mate, countering skepticism from Republicans about his military service. “Listen, I praise anyone who has presented themselves to serve our country,” Harris asserted, responding to GOP allegations of “stolen valor garbage” surrounding Walz’s service record.

Republicans have been quick to criticize Harris for her media avoidance, with Trump accusing her of dodging tough questions. “Kamala refuses to do interviews because her team realizes she is unable to answer questions, much like Biden was not able to answer questions, but for different reasons,” Trump posted on Truth Social, further fueling the narrative that Harris is unprepared to face scrutiny.

Harris was also conspicuously absent from the National Association of Black Journalists conference in Chicago, an event where Trump dominated discussions last week during a question-and-answer session. Her prolonged silence has drawn significant attention, especially since President Biden endorsed her candidacy after announcing he would not seek re-election on July 21. Since then, Harris has been actively campaigning across the country but has limited her interactions with the press.

The choice of Walz as her vice-presidential pick has sparked a firestorm of criticism from Republicans, who view the Minnesota governor as a symbol of failed leadership and radical policies. Senator Lindsey Graham, R-S.C., was quick to draw a comparison to Senator Bernie Sanders, stating on X (formerly Twitter), “Harris Feels the Bern and picks Walz. Thank you, Kamala! Governor Tim Walz is a dream for the radical Left.”

House Majority Whip Tom Emmer, R-Minn., also weighed in, accusing Walz of enacting policies that have transformed Minnesota into a blue stronghold akin to California. “It’s not surprising [Harris] picked Tim Walz to be her running mate – he embodies the same disastrous economic, open-borders, and soft-on-crime policies Harris has inflicted on our country the last four years,” Emmer wrote on X. He further criticized Walz as “an empty suit who has worked to turn Minnesota into Harris’ home state of California.”

Republicans have seized on Walz’s handling of the Black Lives Matter riots in Minnesota during the summer of 2020 as a key point of attack. The controversy surrounding Walz’s delayed activation of the National Guard during the unrest has become a focal point for the GOP, who argue that his leadership failed to protect the state. Harris’s support of the Minnesota Freedom Fund, a bail fund for rioters, during her 2020 presidential campaign has also been brought to light as a potential liability.

In a statement highlighting the GOP’s strategy for the coming months, House GOP Conference Chair Elise Stefanik, R-N.Y., declared, “The Democrat Party makes history as they anoint Harris-Walz to the ballot this November representing the most radical Far Left wing ticket in history.” Stefanik criticized Walz as a “failed Member of Congress” and a “failed Governor” who supported the Defund the Police movement that she claims contributed to the destruction of cities.

Additional criticism came from Rep. Tom Tiffany, R-Wis., who stated, “While Minnesota burned, Tim Walz did nothing and watched. While Minnesota burned, Kamala Harris helped violent rioters get out of jail. This is the SOCIALIST dream.” This sentiment was echoed by Sen. Tom Cotton, R-Ark., who called Walz a “perfect choice” for Harris, citing his perceived weakness in handling the BLM riots.

As the campaign season intensifies, Harris’s selection of Walz as her running mate is expected to be a significant point of contention. Republicans are gearing up to leverage his record in Minnesota as a means of attacking Harris and painting her as a candidate aligned with the most radical elements of the Democratic Party. With the first debate set for September 10, all eyes will be on Harris as she prepares to defend her choices and her vision for the country.
