With less than ten months until the election, former President Donald Trump is widening his lead over President Joe Biden, according to recent polls conducted in crucial battleground states.
The first survey by Emerson College examined the Georgia presidential race between Trump and Biden. It showed that Trump was ahead of Biden by six points, with 48% of respondents backing Trump versus 42% for Biden. Furthermore, 11% of the participants expressed indecision.

According to a recent survey conducted on February 14β16, 2024, among 1,000 registered voters, Biden is slightly ahead of Trump among independents. 39% of voters favor Trump, 44% favor Biden, and 18% are still unsure.
In North Carolina, Trump leads Biden by three points, 47β44 percent, according to a second Emerson College survey conducted on the same days. However, 10 percent of respondents are unsure.
When third-party candidates are taken into account, Trump’s lead increases to 46% versus Biden’s 37%. Cornel West and Jill Stein each receive 1% of the support, while Robert F. Kennedy Jr. receives 5%.
Emerson College added the following:
Spencer Kimball, executive director of Emerson College Polling, said, βA majority of voters under 30 break for President Biden over Trump, 53% to 35%, along with a plurality of voters in their 30s, 47% to 40%. Voters in their 40s are evenly split: 45% support each candidate. Voters over 50 support Trump over Biden, 52% to 40%. In addition, independent voters in North Carolina break for Trump over Biden, 43% to 40%.β
In Michigan, a state that Trump barely won in 2016 but lost to Biden in 2020, according to the most recent USA Today poll, he is now ahead of Biden by 4 points.
