After leaving court, one of the people was seen making an inappropriate gesture at the press.
The 19-year-old Darwin Andres Gomez-Izquiel, who was freed by District Attorney Alvin Bragg, has already committed another crime, highlighting Bragg’s laxity.
Police stated that Gomez-Izquiel was taken into custody on Tuesday night on charges of petty larceny and robbery.
Gomez-Izquiel attacked a security guard while committing a theft at the Macy’s shop in Queens Center Mall, Elmhurst.
