Former Vice President Mike Pence talks about the Capitol protest on January 6 on CNN.
In a conversation with CNN’s “State of the Union” anchor Jake Tapper, Pence declared categorically that the FBI was not involved in the Capitol demonstration on January 6. Additionally, he stated that he was in favor of the arrest of more than 1,200 people who had been linked to the previous president Trump.

“I’ve heard the many repeated assurances from the FBI that they were not involved, and I take them at their word,” Pence said.
Pence declares that he still has faith in FBI Director Christopher Wray and that the incident did not originate with the FBI.
“I’ve seen the director of the FBI repeatedly assure the American people that the FBI were not the instigators of the riot that occurred on January 6,” Pence stated on Sunday to Jake Tapper. “And frankly I’m very grateful for the efforts of the FBI to bring nearly a thousand people to justice who ransacked our Capitol and did violence against police officers that day.”
Pence declared that he is “pleased” that over a thousand Trump supporters, the most of whom are peaceful, are detained in the DC gulag.
With the help of the police, a large number of the January 6 demonstrators made their way quietly inside the Capitol. Still, under President Biden’s administration, they faced accusations from a corrupted Justice Department and were wrongfully detained.
“I believe everyone that conducted that riot at the Capitol needs to be held to the fullest extent of the law. I’m pleased that many have,” Pence added.

President Biden selected Matthew Graves as the US Attorney for the District of Columbia, and he has declared a new direction for the Department of Justice. They want to target a large number of people who were in the vicinity of the Capitol on January 6th but did not go inside.
“An important note about those who remained outside the [Capitol] building,” Graves said. “We have used our prosecutorial discretion and to primarily to focus on those who entered the building, are those who engaged in violent or rough conduct on Capitol grounds.”
He continued, “But, if a person knowingly entered a restricted area without authorization, they had already committed a federal crime. Make no mistake, thousands of people occupying the area that they were not authorized to be present in in the first place.”
Due process should be denied to more Trump supporters, according to Mike Pence.
