According to a recent Wall Street Journal survey, President Biden’s popularity rating has reached an all-time low. Remarkably, in a fictitious rematch, former President Trump now outperforms Biden, a historic development.
In a replay of the 2020 election, Trump leads Biden 47% to 43%, which is a plausible outcome given Trump’s commanding lead in Republican primary surveys. When independent candidates like Cornel West and Robert F. Kennedy Jr. are included, however, Biden’s situation becomes much worse as the president’s support falls to only 31% as opposed to Trump’s 37%.

There’s no denying that Trump’s popularity is growing; several prominent pollsters have confirmed this trend. In the meantime, President Biden’s standing in the polls reaches a record low. Remarkably, only 23% of respondents think that Biden’s policies have improved their lives, while an astounding 53% think that his choices have had a negative influence on them.
Of the respondents, 50% thought that former President Trump’s actions were useful, while just 37% thought that his efforts had a negative impact on them.
The WSJ survey shows that just 37% of participants are happy with President Biden’s work performance, a record low. However, an astounding 61% of respondents voiced their displeasure, setting a new poll high.
On a number of specific problems, including as the economy, border security, crime, inflation, and the continuing war between Israel and Hamas, Trump also scored higher. Only in the areas of abortion and “setting a better tone” in politics did Biden perform better than the outgoing president.
“If this race is about policy and performance, then Donald Trump has a significant advantage,” Speaking on the findings was Republican pollster Tony Fabrizio, who collaborated with Democrat Michael Bocian to conduct the survey. “If this race is about temperament and character, things like that, then Biden has an advantage.”
Bocian pointed out that Biden is having trouble winning over individuals who have historically supported Democrats, such as young Latino voters and African Americans. “They are feeling economically stressed and challenged right now. And they are not showing enthusiasm in the way they were turning out in 2020, 2022,” he said.
In the most recent WSJ poll, Biden is behind Trump, adding to the increasing number of polls in which Trump is leading. Harvard-CAPS Trump is winning according to polls from Harris, Quinnipiac, Rasmussen, NBC News, and a few others from the last month.
