House Probes Biden Family Business Arrangements; President’s Son and Brother Face Subpoenas
the House’s official impeachment investigation against the president without a formal vote. In a move that is similar to what Democrats led by Nancy Pelosi did to former President Donald Trump, Republicans are getting ready to cast a vote on the matter.
“I suspect that the House of Representatives will formally vote to formalize the impeachment inquiry. This is the exact same process that Pelosi took during her impeachment,” Mr. Comer said. “And they’re not going to be able to have a leg to stand on in court if they try to defy our subpoenas.”
The House Oversight Committee chairman, Mr. Comer, was speaking during a segment on “Just the News, No Noise.”

“A public proceeding would prevent selective leaks, manipulated transcripts, doctored exhibits, or one-sided press statements,” Mr. Lowell said.
Mr. Biden’s attendance in Washington on December 13th is required by a subpoena that was served on him. Republicans contend that this look is meant to be private and hidden from the public.
Republicans in the House oppose Hunter Biden’s willingness to appear before Congress.

Mr. Comer and House Judiciary Committee Chairman Rep. Jim Jordan (R-Ohio) informed Mr. Lowell on Friday that Mr. Biden’s deposition will be held “in a deposition setting” or in private.
Maintaining consistency is crucial, and both Democratic and Republican majorities in the House have done so historically.
“Mr. Biden’s attempt to avoid sitting for a deposition pursuant to the terms of the subpoenas—by offering instead to testify at a public hearing—amounts to a demand that he receive special treatment from the committees,” the congressmen said. “Mr. Biden will not succeed in attempting to dictate to the committees how they conduct their investigation.”
Republicans have declared that the public will eventually get access to the deposition transcript.
Based on strong evidence, including witness testimony and bank records, Republicans are demanding more inquiry into the president’s brother, Joe Biden, and his friends.

Regarding a request for a statement, Mr. Lowell’s office did not respond.
One of the people found guilty of contempt of Congress for disobeying House subpoenas was former Trump advisor Peter Navarro.
Republicans are urged by Democrats on the House Oversight Committee to let Mr. Biden to give a public testimony.
