In a recent interview, former CNN anchor Chris Cuomo made an unexpected revelation that startled viewers. He made the suggestion that the nation would advance toward a more secure and affluent future if former President Donald Trump were to win reelection the following year.
Cuomo emphasizes that America is stronger than any one person and recognizes that Trump has made major contributions to the nation. Despite his position, he nevertheless admits President Biden’s shortcomings.

“Would we survive another [term]… uh, yes,” Cuomo stated, referring to President Trump. “I don’t think there’s any greater risk to America with him than with Biden. And for people who are now going to attack me and say, what are you talking about, Trump is like this crazy man. Well, look, as Patrick says, the data’s the data. Nobody was trying to kill us when Trump was president in a way that they are now. If anything, there’s more hostility.”
“Existentially, I’m not afraid of a Trump presidency… Unlike many people in America, I believe the country is much stronger than any individual leader,” he added.
Cuomo believed that America had “survived” and gone on despite “Russian election interference,” “Biden the gaffe machine,” and a continuously dysfunctional Congress, even if there was no gain and perhaps things might have been “done differently.”
“In terms of who I’m going to vote for, I would really have to see where we are at that moment in time,” he said.
“So you’re open to Trump,” suggested Bet-David.
“I am always open, and people will say ‘Bull***, you’ve never voted for a Republican in your life.’ Wrong. And not only have I, the first vote I ever cast was for a Republican,” Cuomo replied.
Chris Cuomo, a former CNN anchor who departed the network in 2021 due to scandal, has discovered a new home on NewsNation. He still provides fair criticism to a devoted following. In a recent interview, he boldly questioned presidential candidate Vivek Ramaswamy on his positions on a number of subjects. Cuomo, who never backs down from a fight, had earlier called the House Democrats’ probe into the Capitol disturbances a “gotcha game.”

Cuomo concedes, somewhat modestly, that he will never again command the highest ratings.
“I’ll never be that again. That was taken from me, I believe wrongly,” Cuomo stated, as quoted by Variety. “I’ll litigate that. I’m not going to bitch about it in the press…I’m trying to remember what I’ve been through every day, and not forgetting and falling back into what works and what will rate more and what will get me higher on the media list and what will get more people talking about me.”
